Been invited for medical but still no CTC update?

I submitted my pre medical documents and CTC form and anything else required for the position back at the start of September 2023. I’ve today got a letter in from NICS inviting me to complete a medical at the start of January and receive vaccinations and also complete the DLM form with them. All this cost them money? I’ve yet to hear back about my CTC submitted 13 weeks ago this makes me think have they heard something and I haven’t or is this normal?
