I studied at Royal Holloway for my Psychology degree and I don't feel that I can recommend it. I recently posted about my experience in Challenging and Long-lasting Experience at Royal Holloway Psychology if you'd like to read about it. In any case, if you do choose to go there, it's strongly advisable to be alert.
Hi there, just letting you know that I moved your thread over to the psychology forum!

All three universities you're considering are BPS accredited, which is the essential thing a degree should have if you want to pursue a career in psychology so where you go won't matter all that much in terms of future prospects. I can't speak for teaching or location for any of these universities but in any case you really should go to the place you like best, so I suggest you go to their respective open day/offer holder days

Hi @martaa11,
I graduated with a Psychology degree from Kingston University last year. The location is pretty good as the campus where psychology students have lessons is close to the town centre. Kingston is 30 minutes away from London Waterloo by train and is generally well connected by public transport to other cities.

The teaching was always interesting and teachers stayed behind to answer questions after the lectures. Kingston University won the Teaching Excellence Framework Gold award and students report high satisfaction.

Regarding reputation, most of my friends secured places on post-graduate courses. Psychology is a competitive field; achieving at least 2:1 in your degree will be helpful in your career and it is a basic requirement for further study. In my experience, teachers supported us to achieve better grades, especially in the third year. Kingston University also offers a placement year as part of your degree, which will set you apart as a graduate when you are looking for work. If you are not able to do a foundation year I would not worry as long you gain experience alongside the degree. There are a lot of volunteering opportunities in Psychology.

If you want to find out more about Psychology BSc (Hons) please refer to https://www.kingston.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/psychology/.

To book a place on our open-day visit https://www.kingston.ac.uk/open-days/undergraduate/book-to-attend-27-april-2024/

Let me know, if there is anything else you would like to know 🙂
