The career prospects of a radiographer

"Hello, I am an Italian radiography student and i'm considering moving to the UK due to the career prospects and personal growth opportunities it offers, unlike Italy. Could you please tell me, for each brand, what roles a radiographer can aspire to?

Thank you very much."

Are you studying diagnostic or therapeutic radiography? (I've amended your thread title slightly as a radiologist is a medical specialism for which you have to have a degree in medicine.)

If you move over, depending how long you have been qualified, you will most likely be a band 5. You would work primarily in A&E and outpatients doing plain film (emergency imaging and GP patients), you will also most likely be doing a lot of orthopaedic theatre work alongside some fluoroscopy depending on the site. Some sites also allow band 5s to do non contrast CT heads. It is often pretty easy to move up the ranks in radiography and you could potentially be promoted to a band 6 where you would do more CT and potentially some MRI within a couple years
