Hi sorry. Uni life is super busy now to chat. I recommend you look on the instagram of UWE Fashion textiles for level 4 (1st year) students that have their work posted and message them on instagram

Where do you recommend students should live for first year that’s close to where the fashion textiles lessons take place?

Clifton, Hotwells, Bedminster or Southville are really the closest places I'd recommend. If taking a car bear in mind there is the clean air zone which means your car needs to be compliant to drive through the zone. Most other areas of Bristol would require 2 buses to get to Bower Ashton so you would need to change buses in the centre.

Hotwells and parts of Bedminster nearer Ashton Gate are walkable and cycling distance. Electric bikes have become very popular in Bristol but bear in mind leaving expensive bikes locked up around the centre of Bristol requires very decent bike locks as there is so much bike theft in Bristol

Hi @Raven01

Here is our accommodation page https://www.uwe.ac.uk/life/accommodation/city which includes the best options for studying at Bower Ashton campus.

Accommodation is now open for applications until the 30th June so make sure to apply in time! 🙂

Let me know if you have any further questions I'll be happy to help.

Thanks,

Courtney
