Transferring universities

Hi, I’m currently in my first year at Salford and looking to transfer closer to home to Liverpool John Moores for my second and third year. I’ve emailed LJMU hopefully they will get back to me, but do I need to apply through UCAS by the UCAS deadline (Wednesday coming) as I’m hoping to start in second year at John Moores, not my first?
Thank you!

LJMU will have to tell you. The answer, should they allow transfers at all, is 'possibly', but the institution can make exceptions and really only they can tell you for sure. Might be better ringing them.
Technically the deadline still applies because if they close the course on UCAS, you won’t be able to submit an application for year 2 entry either.

In reality they might be willing to secretly reopen it briefly if they are willing to consider you.

I’d suggest calling them as they are very unlikely to be prompt with email replies at this time of year.
