Grades from a previous course
I hope this makes sense….
My daughter finished a btec in 2023, she came out with distinction* across the board 👏🏻👏🏻 very proud of her!
She wasn’t sure about what she wanted to do after this so didn’t look to uni or apprenticeships until just before Christmas just gone.
In the meantime she started another btec, in the same field but learning different skills, at Christmas she decided she was ready for uni and put in her applications and told her tutor she would only be doing the 1 year of the 2 year course. All seemed ok.
She’s had a couple of offers come back straight away, but they’re looking for her to get certain grades on her current course, the grades she obtained last year seem to be of no importance. Is this right?!?
I didn’t go to uni until my 30’s so I’ve never had to go through ucas or experienced anything like this, when I went to uni it was all very laid back and direct with the universities. UCAS to me seems to be a headache 🙈🙈
