i was just in a simple topic test for biology, and my screen time notification went off - but no one noticed so i got my phone out and turned it off. in this 3 second time period, my teacher saw it in my hand and reported me to the sixth form office, confiscated it, and emailed my parents. i know i shouldn't have gotten it out but i really didn't cheat or use it, but she isn't hearing me out. any advice on how i should explain it to my parents? because they are gonna be livid when they see the email

I would probably say you weren't trying to cheat or do anything wrong and that you won't do it again. I don't think there is actually much more you can do than that.
