Water bottles in exam?

random question, but would a coloured (but transparent) water bottle be allowed in an A level (or GCSE) exam? they usually say clear so does that mean 'white' cos my bottle is transparent but it's green. I'm guessing it's probably better to just take a normal disposable bottle, but if I can, I would rather take this one. thanks!

They haven't been allowed at my schools so I would say no. It makes no sense but better to bring a regular colourless disposable on than risk it getting confiscated (especially in a long exam!)

Okay, thank you! I have an exam that's just over 3 hours long on Tuesday, so I didn't want to bring it and then not have any water throughout the whole exam!

Like the person above said, you are not allowed a coloured, clear water bottle, or a bottle containing any drink that is not water. I don't understand the reason why, but also coloured pencil cases aren't allowed.

You can just use a clear plastic bottle, or a normal clear bottle but make sure to remove any labels!

I brought a disposable water bottle with a coloured cap, and it wasn't an issue. :dontknow: You should be fine.

I just had a plain bottle with lemonade in and always have, it’s never been an issue.

We were told before our exams that only clear bottles would be permitted, presumably on the grounds that a printed label might surreptitiously conceal Newton's fabled 'exam-busting' algorithm amidst it's innocuous seeming advert. An invigilator generously allowed my own non-clear specimen to attend regardless, however I suspect I was observed more closely through the sitting as a consequence!
