The Student Room Group

My University is charging me falsely for accommodation damage

On a wednesday a window in my kitchen was broken during a party. I didnt sleep till 6am that night and even called security for noise at 1am when they discovered the broken window. I emailed who they told me to email telling them it wasnt me because I didnt want to be falsely charged. They didn’t reply. I am now expected to pay £274 for a window I didn’t break. I have contacted student services that told me to call the same group of people that asked me to email them and didnt respond.

All i got was an automated message asking me to leave a message.

I am not even on campus anymore I moved out 4 days later.

What am I supposed to do????

Is £274 the total bill? Why is it charged solely to you?
