Not enough childcare grant

Hello all,
My childcare grant is a lot less than I was expecting/hoping for :frown: I have 4 children, one will be going to nursery three days (although will now have to rethink this) and two will be going to breakfast club 4 days a week. I’ve been awarded just under 4k, my husband works but he doesn’t earn enough to cover childcare costs too. What am I going to do when the grant runs out, I’ve worked out that the grant will give us enough to cover 12 weeks worth of childcare !!! Any top tips would be great ! Thanks

Hey I know this was months ago but have you had an update on this? I've just been awarded £1400 for 2 kids for the year (which is about 6 weeks worth...) SFE have said theres a discrepancy with my income so they're reassessing with HMRC but I feel so confused by it all they are saying if you earn 28k or less you should get the maximum as it's either you get it or you don't but I don't really know what to believe!

I’ve rang them twice to question it and both times they’ve told me it’s correct ☹️

It's so stressful isn't it! (not least because we can't use the working parents benefits either!) I can't make a decision until I know how much funding I will be getting! Hope you manage to work things out!
