Childcare grants for nursing students

Does anyone know if nursing students in Northern Ireland get any help towards childcare grants?
If so do you know were I am to apply for this?

Normally you would do everything regarding any other financial support through your student finance company who deals with your nursing fees etc.
I would contact them about it.

I don't get student finance as the fees are paid for by DoH and we also get a bursary each month of 450 so I can't go through student finance. There must be a separate body to go through to get childcare grants.

So you get your fees through Department of Health ?....
And you get the £5000 NHS bursary that the Tory government at Westminster grudgingly gave back to nursing students couple years ago, which works out just over £400 a month.
This is what I thought you were able to get.
We may pay up to 85% of your childcare costs, up to a set maximum amount. We currently pay up to: £128.78 per week for one child in childcare. £191.45 per week for 2 or more children in childcare.

I did have to go through my own student finance company ( SAAS) for my midwife degree as my university fees were paid by my government here and I got full bursary.

did you end up getting help with childcare etc?
i am an NI single mum of 3 trying to figure out exactly what i am entitled to and how an i going to cover childcare whilst in placement.
