Students from other universities

Hey guys. I'd just like to know are other students, say from Aston and Birmingham City allowed access to the campus? Are these students also allowed to use facilities there such as the canteen?

What would you think of other students from different universities coming to your campus just to socialise and take part in activities going on in your university?

Thanks
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, unless you were trying to access the library in which case you need a Uni of Birmingham ID card. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with other students coming and joining in with activities, although I guess it depends on what you intend on doing.

I see schoolkids going around campus sometimes. That really throws me, it's like a juxtaposition of two worlds that just shouldn't meet.

But yeah, unless they want to gain access to somewhere which needs a card (the Main Library is the only place I can think of), people won't know where they're from anyway. Unless they're obviously ****ty Aston/BCU-looking. :colone:

I think there is a school right next to the campus- when I got the train from University station after my visit day last year, the majority of people waiting for the train were schoolkids in uniform.

You're right - there are two King Edward grammar schools, one opposite the Guild and the other one around the corner! You see them in the Guild quite a lot at lunchtimes, but they don't really bother the uni students.
