Why don't you just get friends the normal way? Its not that hard to be honest.
Add your actual friends?

Edit: I read it, you need help, boy.

That's what I'm trying to do. Meeting people socially etc. However it seems like everyone is on facebook and I'm a bit wary of telling people I'm on there, because they might wonder why I don't have any facebook friends.

Do what everybody else does, and add people you don't actually know.

Umm, get to know people and then add them?

Yup, I once knew somebody who did exactly this. He got something ridiculous like 700 friends and probably talked to about 6 of them on a regular basis. Mind you, he had definite social issues and I think he had some kind of undiagnosed Asperger's or autism etc.

I remember when I used Bebo briefly :afraid: and it had a big warning that popped up saying it was against the T&Cs to add people you didn't know, and you could get banned if done repeatedly.

you could try this OP. I have 80+ friend requests, mainly because of the mutual friend system and some people just jump to add any friends of friends they can to get 1k friends or what ever. Which just spams your news feed with comments from people you don't care about or know...
