Anyone else here hate the fact that being a student means you cant buy things u want?

for example, i earn £70-£90 per week- Id love to buy a lot of new clothes, furniture for my room, a macbook pro etc but can afford to.

anyone alse feel the same ie hate the fact that u cant buy the things you want because your a student???

I assume you're not at uni yet, otherwise - that's what the loan is for!

(but as a 16-18 yea sucks a bit)

EDIT - okay guys, I was only joking, my loan doesn't cover my accommodation costs either, we're all in the same boat here!

Oh how I love the uni loan, grant and bursaries.

Get a (better) job.

It's not great but it's good training for later life, for when I'm a skint graduate attempting to repay my student loan :tongue:

It sucks a bit, but I do have enough money for things I actually need, and enough for clothes/cosmetics/socialising so long as I'm fairly sensible with my money I'm usually ok. (Although the reason for that is that I live off my loan and my parents pay my accommodation, and I'll pay them back when I'm earning properly. That does mean though that if I can get a job again this summer the money will be mine :biggrin:

If you have £90 a week on top of your loan you should be managing fairly well i would have thought, I have enough money with no job at all! Don't be greedy
