I don't! And I've decided if I get a high UKCAT score, and it gets me into university, I may reveal me identity

Sorry I've been AWOL though - just not as dedicated to the reapp thread as you guys :P

It seems i'm the only one that flaunts their identity... awh

If i get a high ukcat im gna stand on top of the reception desk in the pearson building holding my ukcat results and dance (ie point my fingers in the air while shaking my bum)
heh.

Thanks DMZ.

On another note, my brother had a baby girl 7lbs 1oz last night! :woohoo: Everyone is doing really well  You should see this baby's hair!

Awh congratulations!!! What's she called? Hope your sister in law and everyone are well

On an unrelated note: I SAW THAT CHINESE GUY OFF JUNIOR DOCTORS COMING OUT OF THE CLUB I WAS GOING INTO LAST NIGHT
He was like fleeing from the club so i didnt get a chance to harass him :ahee:

Awww, bless him. Yeahh it was andy  Are they still filming that?

Hahaha, all the people are old. The guy who gave me mine obviously didn't really know what was a good score - its not like the driving test where they can tell you if you've passed or not.

I thought i saw that tanned one too at the gym yesterday, it wasnt :frown:
Im not sure if they're still filming it, they'll probs wait a little bit where they filmed but i live next to where they filmed

one of the things i hated about the results is that you look at the scores an dthen have to go and get a calculator to work out the average yourself instead of bam it just being there

Nah, people who have been on the course probably stick them on there to sell after. You is being paranoid  You ever used ebay? :eyeball:
Yeah, I guess..

I'm joking  HCA work differs so much depending on what sort of ward and hospital you are working at tbh :yep:
Nights aren't actually that bad, oh dear god, an early shift after a later shift is like FML...

Do you enjoy it? I thought it was really good, but it is very very demanding... tbh I can't be bothered with HCA work again :s-smilie: unless its part time/bank shifts :colone:

I have used it, yes. :K: Ah, I get you now though. Luckily, I won't have to do the UKCAT ever again! I hope.

Unless it's on a Friday, I always have an early shift after a late. :facepalm2:
But, yeah, it does differ a lot. Although, I do seem to be the only person I've spoken to with an experience like mine... Not that I'm complaining, I don't think I'm missing out on much. Except of course that I've never encountered a death yet :K:

I do enjoy it. I didn't so much at the start but now that I've settled in more I don't mind it as much. I don't blame you for not being bothered though. Sign up to NHS Professionals for bank/part time work.

haha yeah - I was just agonising about my low abstract reasooning score, and then when I did the average I realised it wasn't so bad haha

Guys, what's the best way to practise the VR section of UKCAT? It seems that most people get significantly lower score in this section compared to all the others, me included. :s-smilie:

That was my worst section. I can never tell what is true or false or can't tell.

I would also like to know what is the best way to revise?

It was my lowest too.
I think the reason we all do worse is because as scientists we're stronger with the mathematical side of things rather than the English stuff...

Practice all other sections much more and compensate for it  that's what I did :colone:
Reply 752
Yeah, tried doing that, but still, if we could all bump up the VR section, wouldn't that be a bonus? Obviously, the higher the overall score the better.

Email them and ask

VR was my second best section actually - probably a bit of luck :P I think the only way to revise that is just practise though. You'll learn to do it with enough practise

Is that the same for the abstract reasoning section? I did horrendously bad on that one, 480 :frown:

I got 800's (a 790 close enough )in the others and 620 in VR and still came out with a good score :colone:

Omg, I'm the opposite as you! For AR, there are only so many combinations, so once you learn them, with practice, you'll identify the shapes with just natural instinct. :colondollar: What did you use to prepare for VR?

Do you guys not do like close reading in English at school? It forms half of our Higher English courses in Scotland and is exactly the same as VR.
