Mmmmmm TLRs.
I lack so much discipline... it's, frankly, pathetic.

Hey, sorry in advance if this is a stupid question!

was wondering, as you are all mostly medics beyond the first year, how quickly you established good friends in your year group? I'm currently a first year, and although I have an amazing group of non-medic friends from halls who I go out with a lot, I am yet to find a good group of medic friends.. as the group I am friendly with at the moment are not that keen on going out and drinking etc (which I am in to) so I feel I am kinda missing out on the whole medics social life! Has anyone else had this experience in first year, and did they find it changed?

again sorry if this is a stupid question but would be nice to hear other's experiences

I'm only a second year but kind of in a similar sort of boat. Didn't really have any medic friends (that is, medic friends who I hung out with outside of lectures / revision seshes) until this year, and I've only got a few now - but it's a steadily growing number. Just happened to click a lot more with the non-medics in halls ya know?

but really - I'm finding as more time goes by, I'm finding more medics who I get on with. it just takes a while if you're trying to break in to a clique I think.

stick with it, I'm a lot happier now than I was this time last year
My head hurts from STIM and Orai1. Absolutely disgusting. Why didn't I choose ethics or psychology and film?

Note to self (and others too): DON'T PICK A BIOCHEMISTRY BASED SSC.
Will be adding to my signed book collection tonight. Have Kumar from Kumar and Clarke, will be getting Ellis from Lecture Notes on General Surgery  *starstruck fresher*

Obv if UCL would like to call me up and beg me to come over to the dark side, I'd be all ears.... but yes, very excited  Now, how does a white country girl not get stabbed in the east end?
