Any chance BarCap recruits off its insight days? For example, if you go to one of these insight days and then make a summer intern app could you be put forward for interview?

Not sure tbh, that is all the info I have on the scheme. I would think you possibly would still have to have a telephone interview but they may take photos of you when you are there so if you apply they know who you are. However if you meet the recruiters in person then you are much more likely to get to get past the telephone interview as a big part of that is building rapport with HR.
Yes - BarCap do fast track from these events. Several FO interns last summer got in via this.

They do fast-track people.

I went to the one in September last year and enjoyed the day. At the end of the day, one of the recruiters asked if I had applied so they could get do a telephone interview and get me in for an AC.

LMAO...what, you want a medal bruh? I don't see what's egotistical about that considering you said you get fast-tracked and I expanded.

Firstly, you don't get fast-tracked, not so much for second years any way. You still have to go through numerical tests, the telephone interview and the AC.

First years however can be fast-tracked straight to the AC for spring internships.

Well done buddy. Putting in a word to the mods to close all threads once you've replied since you are the s**t around here.

The first year said he applied just by saying how interested he was in banking and which university he was going to. Its a great thing to go to because it will give you an edge when it comes to applying to BC for spring weeks.

Do you think A2 students can go for the July one, or should I just go for September?
Reply 16
From what I remember, they allocate the date to you.

September would be better as you will have you results by then.
