Not at my school, but Lewis Hamilton went to a local school, although aparrantly he was a right brat and they don't boast about it.

The lead singer of The Zutons and Sue Johnston from The Royle Family both went to my school.

As for famous visitors...not really. We didn't have people coming in performing anymore because people in my year basically abused them (in one case, we had some guys in doing a brilliant "in the round" performance of Much Ado About Nothing then did a Question and Answer session, where a kid asked one guy if he was gay. He quickly went on to the next question then as he tried to leave at the end of the show he had kids bombarding him with gay comments).

We had Johnny Vegas pop in a few times in college, but I dunno if he was visiting or just lost D:
