Pretty sure he's 22 now, if he was lacking the match sense then I could understand it coming with age, but he can't shoot and hasn't really been able to from the time I can remember, which is a problem if he is playing as a CF. He can't play on the wings as we have world class wingers and he won't get a game so it's CM if anything.

I think his overall game is excellent. He just lacks composure, especially in front of goal. I'm hoping he gains that with more experience, because he could be an excellent player for us and offers something different to our other forwards.

still pretty young tbh, he can shoot he showed that last season, he just seems to have lost his confidence or something this year (bit like Hernandez at times last season). I still think he can be a good player for us.

I don't Welbeck is capable of that. Lacks the vision, passing ability, technical ability and the build tbh. He just need to be a bit more selfish. Its like he's still trying to play like a kid getting a chance, too often hesitating and looking for a pass.

I actually think he does the opposite, shoots when he should pass. Today he was better but usually it's like he's trying too hard to score a wonder goal and show his worth.

Old Trafford was absolutely buzzing today. Safe to say that United-Liverpool is still the biggest game of the season.
Hilarious reaction by the Liverpool fans to that game. United could've had two penalties (Johnson on Rafael and Wisdom on Kagawa) and Pool potentially two red cards (Skrtel on Welbeck and Johnson second yellow on Valencia, or earlier). To say that United won because of the referee is ludicrous, but whatever.
Great performance by us in the first half I felt, Kagawa, Carrick and Cleverley putting on a passing masterclass. We weren't clinical up front at all though, really poor performance by Welbeck (who somehow got MotM...). Second half we just fell apart and were fortunate to hold on I felt. A good result in the end though!

agreed, clear red as well, two footed and lunged in, no brainier for the ref. could have broken Wilshire's leg had he hit him.
Fulham, QPR and Liverpool, hopefully either QPR or Pool can do something against City. If we are really lucky Berbasex might occur

With a leaky defence, off-form wingers, lack of quality CM depth and young keeper. RvP has been a big decided but he has only scored like 30% of our goals, which isn't overly high either tbh.

Welbeck has potential but his shooting boots don't seem to exist for him but I still would have been happy to select him in the starting eleven ahead of Hernandez because he offers alot more to the team. His best finish that I can remember was against Derby in the FA Cup, 5 years ago possibly, when he came on and curled an effort and the goal he scored in the 8-2 Arsenal drubbing. He seems a more confident finisher if he has time, when he doesn't, he tends to break down and lack the composure and add to that, he's not in consistent goal scoring positions and that he is having to play on the wings which doesn't help. I'd still stick with him though, definitely not made for a box to box as has been said for the reasons already given.

It always will be the biggest game of the season, there's no question about that. Yes, City are the local rivals and they're enjoying a period of success now but they're just an irritance - you learn to live with them and even socialise with them. But you never learn to mix with scousers, most of us have always been brought up to see them as the lowest of the low, and most times they live up to that reputation.
LFC are scum to me and always will be - and there's nothing in football more satisfying than sending them packing back down the East Lancs Road miserable, defeated and perch-less!!!
Watching Barca role about and feign injury against Malaga of all teams reminds me of why they aren't the best team in the world let alone of all time.

The bile that sections (large sections) of your crowd come out with didn't disappoint today. I'm sure all the newspapers will be talking about it in the morning. Or not.
For the record, we have a minority of absolutely bellends and ***** who sing and do sick things about Munich but it's never, ever, anywhere near as widespread at Anfield as it is at Old Trafford.
Is there a minimum level of stupidity the fans sitting on the divider have to reach? They are filth of the highest order and it's the same year after year. At least this year I didn't see any kids or women getting it on the forecourt as previous seasons so some improvement in that respect I suppose.
Had a pretty good afternoon though. Big games are always great of course
