Anyone else agree?

Same! (With the :3 as well!)
High five!

Same I'm glad I put in America they have a greater number of alleles therefore a smaller chance of getting the fault allele in there!

lipids with high % of unsaturated fatty acids

That's exactly what I put ... unsure if it's right...?

It seems plausible. I mean, it spoke about density, so go figure :P

^^^ This <3

yes! You didn't need any knowledge for this paper it was just HSW and maths and I knew this is what BIO2 is mostly about but that was just taking the piss.

For the index diversity I got 6.97 so I rounded it to 7.0 would I get both marks or just 1?

I want to know if they'd give you seven as well. I think they would but then I'm pretty sure I've got C/D/E overall.

what did people put for that cystasine one inhibiting the cell cycle question or something?

Hierachy Q:-
1 mark for 'groups within groups'
1 mark for 'no overlap'

Phylogenetic group:-
1 mark for 'evolutionary relationship'
(evolutionary must be mentioned)

They were on previous exam papers, same with the 'what is a species question'

I failed on 1a *facepalm*
darn youtube video telling me a centromere was outside the cell :frown: and i thought the nitrogen one was a trick so i just left it but haemoglobin can contain nitrogen fgs

Aren't you defining a phylogenetic tree?
Why did the chromosomes look different?? and how did the gamete look like
what did people get for the nitrogen DNA thingy
I got

tick
tick
tick

Don't think it right though

Yeeeeeeah!
how many marking points do you think there will be for the 6 marker? because i didn't have time to write about cohesion tension, so I just wrote about apoplast, symplast and root pressure.
The one damn thing I was taught rubbishly and had no clue about had to be in the damn paper...ehat about tissue fluid :frown::frown::frown::frown:
Does anyone have an unofficial markscheme?

I reckon that was one of the hardest papers I have seen in a while for unit 2.
I think I got it, except for 1 question I couldn't answer! DX

1 marker on why are homologous chromosomes are not genetically identical!

Due to processes like crossing over it results in the chromosomes having the same genes but a different combination of alleles therefore larger genetic variation.

hope that helps

They were in interphase/have not condensed and duplicated

because they become indistinct after cell division i think

I hope they do! In unit 1 in January I got an E, I'll have to see what I get in this and the resit
I won't get higher than a C though
But I'm not too bothered this is the subject I'm dropping
