Haha me too: LLB (Hons) Law, and haven't received an email from registry yet. Starting to get a bit worried since I checked and my email definitely works (even if it wasn't receiving emails just a few days ago).

I'm LLB Law too !! Where is your accommodation?

Yes, there's one here! It has 56 people on it so far, although is rather quiet at the moment.

I haven't received an email to my student account yet, despite me being able to access it, therefore I cannot complete the matriculation process. I haven't received any information regarding accommodation yet either. Should I be worried?

Hi guys,
does anybody know how difficult it is to get a part-time job in Edinburgh to support myself at uni? And how hard it is during my course? It's not medicine or nursing or something likewise very serious about constant attendance and fieldwork.

(MSc Psychology of Language)
And does the Edinburgh Uni Careers Service have a lot of on-campus job opportunities? Would be sooo great

Btw, who's coming to Psychology of Language MSc?

For me it's a bit more about psychology than linguistics and I would be interested in where all the others wanna work related to these fields later on... Sometimes Im trying to think of places where they would need a psycholinguist coz I'd like to work in my field soon ^^

Hmm...part time jobs shouldn't be difficult to find if you know where to look, unlike me, with a crap CV and still with no first job :frown:
But I think once you start it shouldn't be too difficult, from the get go you can see if you can do jobs within campus as they would be likely more accommodating of your study plans. And outwith, well, Sainsbury's and Starbuck's isn't too far away from George Square
Not to mention further there's Princes St and also....every year lookout for jobs at the Fringe

Had. The. Same. MF-ing. Problem.

What I did was force the system to send you a new password to whichever email account you use (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, et al.), from there make your password and use that on MY Ed Portal along with your UUN no. (which is SXXXXXXX) and your password and that's you in (I hope).

After that. there should be a box in the middle (don't click on the above tabs just yet - explore them later) prompting you to sign in to the student email. Do that with your Username/UUN and password and that's your email inbox all done. At this point your Matriculation Form should be there. Read it. And that's you. For now. Hope this helps.

I'm afraid I cannot pitch in wrt accommodation as I'm staying at home.

Hello fellow Kincaider
Is anyone in Kincaids, College Wynd, or Meadowcourt who would like to try to swap for my spot in Sciennes? I understand Sciennes is quieter, but Im an exchange student and want to be on Cowgate for the social aspect. Please let me know!
