The Student Room Group

Adult Molested By a Child

have a female friend with this problem just got off the phone with her.
shes living with family friends while shes at uni.

the son of the family friends who is 14 keeps trying to sexually advance on her.

the things he seems to say like "I'm gonna get my way eventually" are pretty troubling.

he's done it 3 times now.

also just walks into her room whenever he wants.

his mother doesnt seem to take it seriously and has a "boys will be boys" "what are they like!" laugh it off attitude but missed the 3 main incidents of physical assault.

I've told her she interrupt her studies and leave for back home and make plans to go back to study but without financially depending on living with that family.

I was going to tell her to also report him to the police.

but I hesitated and got to thinking.

the authorities should be alerted to this kid.

but I dont think anything will be strong enough in court.

its her word against his and the only witnesses are his family.

and sadly knowing the family they are pretty venomous when they turn on people and I know they will back up their son and not care that hes going to be a sex offender.

something I was worried about was what if the family then tries to accuse her of molesting him as revenge?

they are low enough to do that.

I was curious if anyone new anything about this type of area.

of children molesting adults and how to stop it?

Bit of a weird kid... im actually not sure how to respond, i thought this would be a troll thread.
Inform the boys mother, make sure he is punished and realizes the severity of what he is doing, if that doesnt work inform the police

knowing the kids mother. it wont work. she'll blame her and accuse her of causing trouble.

shes one of those irresponsible mothers.

the 3rd time the kid advanced on my friend his mom was out "raving"
he was in the room and she told him to get out stood up and pointed at the door, he walked up to her she stepped back, he grabbed her by the wrists and tried to push her on the bed. then the boys older sister arrived home coming back from a friends house early.

the kid keeps getting into trouble at school but mainly for violence in the class room. the mothers whole mentality is that rather than her being a bad mother him him a little **** its some kind of conspiracy against her golden angel.

Honestly he sounds like a rapist in the making. Once she has left for the end of uni year I really think she should not go back for her own safety or god knows what she is going to wake up to in the night with him in the house :/

It's a hard decision to make because like you said his mum might try to turn it around on her :/
So tempted to post LAD .

This guy sounds like a little rapist creep , tbh some guys can grow physically as strong as an adult by the ages 13+ , and especially when they have all those hormones rushing through their system coupled with watching porn from a young age I can see this kind of thing happening.

Has she actually been molested?

But why would she even lie about that kind of thing? Surely the mother should be reasonable enough to even listen? 14 year old boys begin to see things in a sexual way so this should be almost expected behaviour. Just get your friend to perhaps speak to the boy about personal space and he'll respect it.
She has not been molested...

no hes aware its wrong.

and the mother does not seem to accept anything that her son does as wrong and seems to blame everyone else.

are you saying the act i described does not class as molestation?

or a wider more flat out denial despite details of the act?

She better do something before he tries to say she did something to him

She should get out of there ASAP.

In this day and age, it'd be easy as pie for the boy to turn it around and she'd be in prison quicker than you can say false accusation.

It doesn't matter whether he is 14, 18, 25 or 40. Behaviour like this should never be expected? It's wrong and his mother should be told and she should deal with it and explain it's wrong before it gets out of hand.
If she wants to keep living with them maybe she just has to sleep with him. Is she attractive, maybe as a 14 yr old it's difficult for him to control himself living with a hot girl.
