Take your 'Congratulations you're going to Sheffield' letter that you got from UCAS, when it arrives. Or atleast, that's what I used when I went to open my bank account 2 years ago. Take your passport as well.

It should tell you your room number on the residence contract. I know mine did. Why don't you try check it again and see if you can see your room number?
