BBC news (they could be wrong was just mentioned right now) said it was in retaliation for a single rocket fired towards a certain Israeli village, they showed the rocket on the ground in a field.

Now if the response from Israel is to fire back with much more overwhelming force at the slightest potential threat to itself I can't see how this could ever be resolved, that's a single rocket, a single man/woman could have gone and fired that with no one else in that village even realising it, so....you damn a whole area due to the actions of one person? Seems like arresting everyone in a club and using excessive force to restrain all of them because one guy got into a fight and he resisted arrest.

As said above though, at some point the area will probably be wiped out, reduced to glass.
Only way to do it, personally think Israel should respond each time with overwhelming force as otherwise the enemies just won't learn.

It's not really a potential threat if the Palestinians have already fired the rocket.

However this is exactly what the Palestinians are after to stir up the useful idiots.
Israel fires rocket into Palestine breaking truce ONE DAY after Hamas is taken off the terrorist blacklist.

Israelis stop to give a 'palestinian' a lift, the terror savage proceeds to throw acid on them and their children

Such deplorable savagery from this fabricated entity.

The hitchhiker they picked up was a religious Jew; he helped to capture the terrorist.

Anyway this is another appalling example of the everyday threats facing the peaceful people of Israel.

I think you'd better recheck pretty much all of your information.

A top court of the European Union has annulled the bloc's decision to keep the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on a list of terrorist groups.

The decision had been based not on an examination of Hamas' actions, but on "factual imputations derived from the press and the internet", judges found.

Your statement was either factually incorrect or misleading through omission on all points.

Israel did not fire a rocket into any place that might be referred to as Palestine, nor into anywhere else. Gaza-based militants fired a rocket into Israel. This was followed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, which still did not involve rockets. This took place more than one day after a court struck down the inclusion of Hamas on the list of terrorist groups, not because the evidence showed it was wrong to include it, but because of a technicality. EU representatives have declared their intention to re-list Hamas, following appropriate procedure. The sanctions against Hamas have not been removed, but remain in place.

I read it was to destroy hamas infrastructure but it landed in field and damaged nothing/nobody.

Hope Hamas get blown to shreads. Then the people of Gaza might actually improve their quality of life.
Hamas need to buck their ideas up.

Gaza and it's people will be wiped off the map and in 100 years time you will have all forgotten about it because it's hate and anti-Semitism to talk about their crimes.

Long live the Palestinian struggle.
Maybe Hamas will eventually learn they can't indiscriminately bomb people. Actually, they won't, they'll continue to just use the people of Gaza as an extortion, and rhetoric call against any retaliation Israel use.
The sooner Israel takes Gaza, the better.
Some of the posts in here....

It could be a poorly concealed agenda to annex Gaza so that Jerusalem is free from non-jew around its periphery. But what still baffles me is US' stance on Israel and how they continue to regard them as an "ally".

Israel have given up any hope of colonising Gaza in the same way they are the West Bank. It's simply too small and too densely populated. The settlements there required too much attention and resources to be worth maintaining.

Tis a shame. Israel is not perfect but i really don't see why people support the formation of another poor, Muslim state that has also showed the world it's people are happy to be led by ultra-religious nutters.
Israel has 'slammed' paying Lebanon for the oil spill. Which was roughly 850mn dollars.
