How is it embarrassing? We're all on a journey to acquire Islamic knowledge. Some of us expose what we know, others don't. Just because someone who wasn't Muslim now is and appears to be well rooted alhamdulilah, doesn't make us Muslims born shameful in comparison. I mean I could be wrong I guess, Allahu a'lam.

Lol I didn't even say that. I meant some Muslims on this site don't even know basic Islamic knowledge, in comparison to those who revert. I've seen it with my revert friends as well. They don't need to be told twice about praying salat or wearing hijab.
I meant I'm embarrassed for myself because I don't spend a lot of my time actively seeking Islamic knowledge.

Ok I am sure that TSR will ban me soon. First I'd like to say brothers and sisters that may Allah reward you for your good deeds and grant you Jannah inshallah.
I'd like to warn you all of something. Anti-Islam sentiment. As muslims we should put our faith first before anything. None of us are perfect, I recently overcame porn addiction thank God.
So I've been lurking this site for quite a bit and I've noticed that the religion board is a disgusting place. It's a full on smear campaign against Islam and the things they say about Muhammad (saws) are sickening. I've been to the most shocking places on the internet but I gotta say the crap said on this site takes the cake.
Tell me brothers and sisters, doesn't it anger you when you see stuff like this? The West have abandoned religion and pursue stupid things like sex and drugs. They love to anger you, calling it satire. They defend their disgusting comments with "free speech", and even then they are hypocrites, they love free speech but they hate "homophobia"!

Then some of them say that they don't hate Muslims but they hate Islam. That is not acceptable at all. They talk **** about our way of life and expect us to accept it? They burn our Qurans but then when we get angry they say "see the Muslims are violent!!! It's just a book bro!!!"
In fact some of them treat animals better than Muslims. Pure torture.

Now be careful, do not even think of joining extremist groups such as ISIS. ISIS/Daesh are doing unislamic things daily and do not represent muslims.

But you must get out of the UK. The white british in the UK hate us. They hate us and our way of life. They protest regularly against Sharia, they want us out of the country. If you must live in a western country move to america, canada, australia, anywhere but the UK. But it is better for you to move back to muslim countries. What matters most, the life of this world or the life of the hereafter? Your iman will be stronger in a muslim majority country. No more oppression.

As much as we'd like to we cannot change the UK. Allah has set a seal on their hearts.

This is a huge generalisation. Some of these 'white british' are our bothers and sisters in faith. Some of these 'white british' are non-Muslims yet advocate equality and uphold our rights.

Yes, some people do hate us and our belief. But to generalise on such a huge scale is nothing but untrue.

God will reward the white Brits who have converted for they have been guided to the straight path, thank God I was born a muslim.
And yes I know generalization is bad. But seriously, have you SEEN the religion board? Why does TSR allow this? In the name of free speech? People seem to treat free speech as a deity here, it seems with atheism they have three deities, Richard Dawkins, "science", free speech.

But on topic, I am trying to do the best for the muslim community on TSR. And may God guide me to the light if what I am saying is wrong. God knows best.
How can these brothers and sisters raise pious muslims in this ugly country? In this country surrounded by sex, hate, drugs, obscenity. How can we raise good muslims here? It's disgusting honestly. Thank God my dad got a new job else I'd still be there.

How can you live with all that negativity?

The religion forum is situated in Debate and Current Affairs. As such, its purpose is to discuss, question and debate matters pertaining to various beliefs. The fact that Islam is most commonly in the spotlight may have several reasons, such as the fact that we do not run away from our religion in the event of opposition and antagonism and the fact that we don't constantly say 'God works in mysterious ways'.

Ameen, may Allah ta'aala guide us all and keep us steadfast upon the deen.

Undoubtedly, there are issues here like that of indecency and drug use. But very place has its problems, as did Arabia at the advent of Islam. Were there to be no darkness in the night, the light of day would be indistinguishable. It is down to us to struggle against the difficulties that we encounter - and indeed, if some of us feel that this is less of a struggle in a different country, then they may well wish to emigrate. But calling for all of us to emigrate is as absurd as the call of Israel's Prime Minister for all Jews to do likewise - although, in his merit, he did offer them safety and security.
