Is it too early to be thinking about Christmas?

I've seen shops with decorations and Christmas trees up but, surprisingly, not seen any Christmas adverts yet. Some people I know have already done their Christmas shopping! Have you? How do you feel about Christmas?

Sometimes I think if we start celebrating it too early, I'm fed up of it by Christmas day!

On a side note, TSR has loads of Christmas emoticons!

My parents keep asking me what I want and apparently "I don't bloody know it's only November" isn't the response they're after...
Nah I'm in a christmassy mood already. Me and my friends picked our secret santa names in September:xmasgrin::xmas::tree::mistle::merryxmas::merry::holly::holly2::cracker::claus:

I always say to people every year "no you have to wait till after firework night this is getting ridiculous"

and now it's firework night, so I guess... now's the time to start thinking
I can't wait!!!! I don't even know what I want this year.

I think about the shopping from mid-October, so I can spread the costs. I don't think about celebrating until like Christmas Eve

I've been listening to Christmas songs for the past couple of days. I enjoy the build up to christmas, even if it is November. All my friends have started buying presents and stuff, but I haven't yet. But the coca-cola truck is on its tour soon, if not already and thats a good sign!
Also the new John Lewis Christmas advert comes on air tomorrow I think - I wonder what it's going to be
I think about Christmas as soon as my birthday is over (in July). Then when Christmas is over I start thinking about my birthday XD
As soon as halloween is over, the shops switch tracks for Christmas. Chrissy lights were being put up in October (not that they are finished now but still). The longer the 'hype' for Christmas goes on, the more I just want it to come and go. Not that I don't enjoy the holiday itself but its the principle of the commercialisation.

They want to snipe the discounts, that's why they're asking early.

Some people might say your parents are cheapskates, but I think they're being fiscally very pragmatic.

Pretty useless tho when I don't even know wth I'm after.
Maybe not too early to think about where you will be and travel arrangements, but too early to be writing cards or buying presents in my opinion.
I feel uncomfortable looking @ the TSR Christmas smileys in the summer. However, now it is chillier I feel the festive smileys are acceptable :ahee:

Bought some decorations today with my mum. We have decorations but none of them are up yet. There are three Christmas trees to be decorated though - might as well start planning now :nothing:
Sorry to burst your bubbles but you are thinking of it too early
I'm one of those annoying people that actually rejoices when shops put up their decorations as early as September  my local garden centres already had their Christmas grottos fully done up by October. As for buying Christmas presents, I always leave it to the last minute and then regret not buying them sooner.
