Singularity supercomputer I don't think "the singularity is near" as we have yet to master many concepts within robotics and AI, specially linking in with sentience, neuroscience and genetics. I could be wrong though. I'll admit most current jobs will be replaced by machines.

What do you mean put aside their differences. If you mean uniting together to combat global problems they often do, but such efforts are often held back by events in Islamic nations that marginalise Christians and visa versa. Hard to unite with a two religions when members of ome religion use it to justify oppresing those of the other.
