I desperately need advice on ways to prepare for English Literature exams, specifically to kill a mockingbird and quote sources.

Think of themes that come up in TKAM, and then think of quotes from different points in the novel which show the development of that theme. Then, try to go through some of the quotes and pick them apart with analysis - you need to aim to be making as much detail as you can out of little pieces of evidence. Think about the connotations and effects of specific words, and always reference the technique or part of speech as it makes your answer sound more sophisticated.
