Anything I should know before getting hastings smart miles insurance?

As the title says, I'm about to get insurance from hastings smart miles, I.e. the black box that they fit in the car. So anything I should know before going with them? I read some reviews online, some are good some are bad but I thought I'd see what you guys thought?

I heard way too many horror stories with Hastings Smart Miles, I would certainly avoid.

Yea I can appreciate that, the only issue is that they are by FAR the cheapest company out there, and when your about to get your first car and insurance, the cheapest option always helps, so I'm not sure what to do...

I'd say go for it. Just try to avoid claims, make sure all your details are correct so you don't have to ring them up and go through the headache of changing details, and be prepared to drive like miss daisy. And definitely stick to mileage limit, once you run out start taking the bus if you have to.

It's best to suffer now and then pursue non black box after a year NCB.
