Correct way of pronouncing economics?

Poll

How do you say Economics?

English isn't my first language so I do tend to have slightly erratic stressing patterns, but "economics" is a torture for me as I have hear it pronounced in so many different ways. Which way is the right way? Is there even a right way or is this kinda like a "scone" vs "scone" thing?
It's pronounced either way depending on your accent - "ee-conomics" or just "e-conomics"
People will understand you either way
I say economics as ek-o-nom-iks
and
scone as sk-on

But I think it varies by region.
I guess you could say this is particularly stress-ful for me

They shouldn't because I've heard plenty of people say it like that - that is not wrong don't worry, tell them they need to learn English!
People tend to stress the eh/ee part first, and whether you say EE-conomics or EH-conomics is basically down to personal preference.
My economics lecturer says 'EH-con-OH-mics'
