I’m doing Camp America this summer and I wondered if anyone’s been and their opinion on the luggage insurance option? Is it worth it for £82?

Surely you are going to want a full travel insurance package that covers medical and repatriation if needed?

So the £82 is an optional addition solely for luggage (more details in the link below) but basically, full medical insurance is something everyone pays for in the payments for Camp America. Just wondered if spending £82 on this optional insurance was a good idea etc

I cant actually say and you will have to shop around.
Check how long your insurance with Camp America lasts as you might want cover afterwards when you do the travelling.

I would think about my attitude to risk and what ones I could deal with.I would then get quotes to see if I could get better value. I dont know if theirs is expensive. You get the cover it states time for loss f your possessions. probably not what you want to happen, so I would get some, just from whom and at what price.

Hey! I've done Camp America for 5 summers and have chosen to take baggage insurance when I've taken valuables with me (for example my laptop). If you aren't taking many valuables, you may not need the extra insurance! It will cover you for your travels too though (as will your medical insurance) in case you were wondering. You have up until a week or so before you fly to decide whether to get it or not so lots of time to decide once you've sorted your packing list! I hope this helps - Sophie
