University park is very campus based, the engineering department is one of the largest in the UK, they do a good mix of practical hands on and theory based stuff as well. Engineering benefits from the brand new George green library that is open 24/7 during revision. Accomodation is nice either catered or uncatered on Uni park. Science is considered a big deal at Notts, you can look it up on youtube Nottingham science and numberphile also originate from Nottingham. Alot of care goes into that department and almost everyone i know enjoys, although they say its no walk in the park and alot of contact hours. However, i think thats part of engineerings DNA regardless where you go. Nightlife in Nottingham is peak there is Pryzm, Stealth, Rock city, Ink, Pom pom etc, cheap entry no club more then £5 pounds lots of fancy dress and student nights. Also the legendary student only ocean. University park is recieving a serious overhaul currently, more shops and the look and feel is being improved. Cost of living in Nottingham is comparably low for your later years of university to alot of places. However, Sheffield is a decent city also a tad bigger. All in all Nottingham is the total package, and likely tops Sheffield especially with international presence, but engineering from any Russell group will give you good prospects.
