Which laptop should i buy?

Hiya, i am currently in sixth form and i study Biology, Chemistry and Economics.

My laptop has broken and i need to buy a new one.
I was thinking of buying a Macbook but i do not no if its worth the money.
Ideally i would like to keep it to use in University too.

I want to use the laptop for writing essays, research, writing/answering emails.

If anyone owns a macbook, i would appreciate if you could give me some advice on if you think its worth it and if the Macbook limits you doing things.


Would i be better off buying a windows/another laptop?

-Macbooks are great for the tasks you'd like to perform.
-But my brother has used one in his final year at uni and admits that there are multiple essential software that it doesn't run.
-Personally, I would recommend a Dell XPS 13.
