How come south Asian muslim parents claim to be religious but are racist?

In islam their is no racial prejudice, the problem with south asians is they're really culture oriented.

south asians tend to put culture before religion, they'd rather their kids marry someone of the same culture. Like it's common for pakistanis to not be allowed to marry an Indian and vice versa also including bengalis as the relatives will often look down on the marriage due to the culture difference . But in an Islamic point of view this is wrong as in Islam you're allowed to marry anyone of the same religion.

and there's no caste system as that's to do with wealth. It's just a strong culture at the bottom line.

as a south asian I do agree it's wholely wrong, but the problem is that most south asians is they don't want to acknowledge they're in the wrong.

The cultural thing is a red herring. Ask a Muslim Pakistani how they'd feel about marrying into a Christian Pakistani family. The result is like a scene from a Life of Brian. Vice Versa too, of course. Perhaps hating each other is cultural to some.
