can you check if this is correct please?

for abc, angle a is 30 degrees because isosceles .You do 1/2absinC which is 1/2 x 10 x 10 x sin 30 = 25cm^2.
for ade, (10 + 12) x 5 and divide that by 2 = 55cm^2.

Ratio: 25:55
simplified to 1:2.2

Yes.

There was a good reflection I was going to make about the answer, but as you've deleted the image/question, I'll leave it.

There are several reasons why people delete the question, sometimes it's because it's homework etc. I doubt that you'd have a problem with copyright for a question snippet.

As you've done this on another thread as well and it looks to be an exam question, I'd appreciate knowing which one it is - preferably a link.
