Will it get rid of it or just soothe it. It’s on my face and making me ugly

I don't know. Try it and see.
A GP is definitely a good first port of call.

Seeking out allergens, including foods, washing powders, clothes, exposure to mold, etc, is also a good shout.

But how can I figure out what the allergy is

But how can I figure out what the allergy is

Think about whether there has been anything you have been doing recently that might have made the eczema come on, e.g. new skin products or washing powders or eating new foods. Some people find that their eczema gets better if they stop eating dairy.

You just got to think about times when it has been especially bad and what you did before, times when it has been good and what you didn't do, then trial stuff. For example a common one to try first is to change laundry detergent, or cut out dairy as mentioned.

It never really 'goes', you just deal with it better
Definitely speak to your GP.
You can try to identify other triggers too - allergens have already been mentioned, mine flares up with stress. My skin is also sensitive to SPF-containing moisturiser randomly, there might be products that irritate your skin too that you haven't realised.
I think it would be a better option to consult your GP regarding the same. Definitely, he/she will guide you with the best solution.
I would suggest you to go for Traditional Chinese Medicine for eczema.
Give GinSen Clinics a try if you're based in London.

They give free consultation and advice so may be they can help you.
