I used to have to do maths and other assorted problems sometimes before my dad would let me watch these things 
I mean sure I could play around with some basic fractions before I started school but I would have preferred more cartoon vampires, anthropomorphic animals and football headed boys in m life.
Still, I used to troll teachers by persuading large sections of the class to join me in singing the Arthur theme tune at a random point in the lesson. Good times.

how long did you have to spend doing maths? I wouldn't even do my homework in the evenings

Oh not long as I would always do whatever he wanted quickly. Do you remember the numbered workbooks in primary school? I think I did them all in perhaps two lessons and because I went to a small country school they just had me do them again.
The teachers didn't think so. They tolerated my continued participation in their school for a relatively long time though which was nice of them.
Drinking is bad, tut.
