The difference is that WWE try to pass it off as real, whereas the things that you listed don't. E.g. commentators commentating as if what they're seeing is real, "OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THAT?! HE'S TAKEN HIM DOWN JUST LIKE THAT! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!" Also things like being able to bet on the "winner".
You can argue the open secret is part of the medium. It would be boring as **** (assuming it isn't. I find it absurd now but loved it as a kid) if the commentators were like "wow what a fake punch that was".
Also you get movies and books pretending that they're "based on a true story". It's arguably an aesthetic technique.
