Water. And going back to sleep. I find going back to sleep is the best way to cure a hangover.

This was one of the random discussions we had in an A-level biology lesson. It never took us long to get distracted!

If I remember rightly, zinc is a cofactor for the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase, so perhaps eating foods high in zinc would help to speed up your metabolism of alcohol.

I've never tried it myself but it's got to be worth experimenting.
