What's the best way/products ro reduce the effect of a shiny/oily face?

Wash your face every once in a while.

I have the exact same problem, the only thing that really helps is some acne cream (the ones that contain peroxide) which can give it more a matt look. You should be able to get them through your GP/Pharmacy.
