If u got the money and want to spend it on something then why not.
Some people spend £200 on a ticket to see robbie williams on coke attempt to sing for a couple of hrs....i don't see why u can't spend ur £200 on doing something u'd enjoy doing.

Having said that, sex aint all that good with a stranger (especially when ur using condom)

Oh for god's sake just do it already. Despite what half the people replying on here seem to think, there are far more important things in life than sex. If you think you'll have fun and it'll be worth the money, then do it.

It probably is illegal, but I think the general idea is that if the girls involved aren't being forced in anyway, are getting decent pay, are over 18 and are clean, then the police turn a blind eye.

It's only the dodgy pervs picking up prositutes in their cars to murder them that the police are worried about.

He's right; the actual prostitution is perfectly legal (if all parties are fully consenting, of course...).

The illegality comes from a lot of things associated with it; soliciting, kerb-crawling, running a brothel (definition of a brothel being a property with more than one prostitute working there).

I think all that is to make it a bit harder for prostitutes to operate... But there are ways, and certainly it can be done legally.

Any girl who might be worth being with later would probably really dislike it if they knew you had your first time with an escort (or indeed may have gone to one anyway). They would find it much more special if you waited for the right girl. Any decent person wouldn't judge you if you are a virgin - it shows you have moral and won't get into bed with anyone. Don't do it.

So true, in real terms all our interactions are a form of exchange and can be quantified on one way or another, money is just one of the many ways of doing this. Conclusion, if you want it, go pay for it (the many different forms of payment, money included).

I would not do it, because I do not really want it.
For Anon, The negatives seem subjective (STDs aside, risk pretty much the same for casual sex) so if you have the money and value it that much go and do it. Just make sure she is HOT, because you are certainly not paying for her sense of humour or good personality.

I'm sure you're all going to think I'm a sad git, but here goes...

I'm 18 and have never had sex before, but would like to. I've been looking for an escort to have sex with and have found one who looks nice and sounds nice on the phone. The thing is, as much as I really want to experience my first time with someone experienced, I'm now having second thoughts.

18 is still really young. I know loads of my male friend of this age (in upper sixth) who are still virgins, some of whom haven't ever had girlfriends.
My boyfriend didn't lose his virginity til he was 19, and I think its nicer anyway, to keep it for someone special, rather than feeling that you have to throw it away as soon as possible.
Although I don't think that hiring an escort is dangerous, or wrong, I still think you'll regret it. Certainly at this age, when you're still quite likely to meet a nice girl at any time.
To be honest, it does seem a little sad for an 18 year old. maybe if you get to your late twenties and still haven't had sex, it might be a more reasonable option...
