IE didn't have http:// at the beginning... I change that, and it works.

That said I actually could still browse on IE so I didn't think to change it - I assumed I'd put it in correctly to begin with.


IE must be 'clever' and append the protocol to the front of the address. but when a 3rd party app comes to steal its settings, it doesnt work

So is there any way of doing it without a smartphone? I can't activate it and I'm stumped.

I don't think so Loojay, surely one of your mates has a smartphone you can nab to do it
Have any of you got a message recently when trying to even open Origin where a tab would appear saying: 'COULD NOT CONNECT. An internet connection is required to update Origin.'?

It's pretty ironic, as I'm trying to open origin now whilst typing this message and I'm clearly connected to the internet otherwise I wouldn't be posting this right now.

Any help would be appreciated. :smile:

That's a problem with Origin, not resnet.
