Commuting from Liverpool? HELP

Hi just wanting to see if any body commutes to UCLAN from Liverpool and how they find it? I have just been offered a place for 2013 and currently trying to weigh up the pros and cons ....

Also im 22 and doing a medical course so a part of me says that Halls isnt a good idea!

Any advice atall is highly appriciated!!

I don't do this commute but I have commuted similar distances before.

Having a look the public transport options are going to take about an hour and a half each way, I just check google maps for driving and it says 50 minutes in current traffic (a Sunday morning), it will take longer during the week. So you could be spending up to 3 hours a day travelling, so it depends on if you can use the commute productively otherwise it is a large chunk of time to loose.

Living in Preston is more convenient but I don't know how rowdy the student accommodation gets - I haven't heard anything particularly bad about it. There is a mature students society (http://www.uclansu.co.uk/activities/soc_unisecondage.php) which might be able to help you get into local accommodation with other mature students.
