Is Chiltern Railway trips included on TFL oyster card?

Say if I wanted to go from Zone 4 in London to Denham. Would the rail journey be included on the oyster card, so that I would top up on that, otherwise how much would it cost to get a railcard for this?

Thanks

Check a tube map that shows London rail services and see if Denham is in any of the London zones. If it is then it costs the same as a tube journey from zone 4 to Denham's zone.

I went out past Purley in Zone 6 on mine, but I don't know if Oyster cards are different. Mine's a VCTS one.

Sorry it isn't in the London zones http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/london-rail-and-tube-services-map.pdf

Try going to Uxbridge and taking a bus if you can.
I've always used mine (not sure if I'm technically supposed to but I've never been stopped or questioned about it), although having said that don't tend to go further than Rickmansworth, which is still on the Met line.

There is some information on here, someone else should clarify, but I'm sure you can't go all the way to Denham on the Oyster card. But you can go to West Ruislip

I was thinking this as 1st option as TFL zones in outer London are cheapest to travel out from, hope the bus service there is good? As it is the best route since bus travel is included in train travelcard.

Journey planner suggested taking bus from Northwood but that'd be longer as the route is different... So I thought ok Chiltern is fast to get there but return rail ticket works out more than TFL also depends on times, as would also have to pay for bus on top of that too, if that makes sense, bus journeys on top of rail wouldn't make it worth using Chiltern. Thanks, since what you said confirmed that it makes sense, shall do!
