Karolinska Institute in Sweden for Biomedicine Bachelors degree - low entry levels?

Hello,

I live in Sweden now and currently retaking my A-levels from England. I did my A levels previous a few years ago at sixth form and didn't do so well, C in Maths, B in Physics, C in Gen Studies, D in biology, D in AS law.
I started to retake my A levels for personal gratification so I could apply to courses now with higher grades but in Sweden they don't give conditional offers so I have to apply for 2015 with the grades I previously attained years ago.
They state there they only require AS Maths, and either GCSE or A level chem, bio and physics. But overall must have 3 A levels and one AS but doesn't specify which subjects. The levels just seem so low and I am surprised as they are a very good school. Are the UK A levels really worth so much more than other institutions around Europe?
