Tesco bank box insurance.

Hi.

I'm currently in the process of buying a new car since my old one is broken. My question is, do I have to have my previous black box removed before I can sell the car?

Is there a charge for this?

I wouldn't be cancelling my insurance, just having a change of circumstances.

I think you just call then and they deactivate the box not really sure though.

Best to phone them or use online chat, I know they will charge to change the car and fit a new box.

there is normally a charge for changing the box to another car.

If your policy has ended, they will de-activate the box. you can then either pay them to remove it or just leave it in and sell the car. (that is my experience from co-op)
