What topics are covered in the AQA AS/A2 psychology

I'm taking a gap year out before uni and I'm deciding to do an a level externally (I.e. I've only paid for the exams) so I was wondering what was sort of topics are covered in the AS/A2 of the psychology exams (AQA) also, if anyone could recommend the best books/resources for these topics, that would be great thank you!

You should be able to find the the topics online. All AS topics are mandatory, whereas you can pick your own for A2, alongside Research Methods.

As for books; 'The Complete Companion' seems to be the most appreciated for Psychology students.
E.g.

Personally, I used the 'CGP Student Guide' just because I prefer its style and layout.

You can "look inside" to find the topics included before buying them, but make sure you choose an AQA A Specification :ahee:.

Since you are self studying; remember not to rely on the text book, I.e. do an online search for each topic and find notes from other people, etc, to ensure you have a good range of studies and evaluation points.
