Dropping an A2 now (in January)

I received an offer from my first choice uni today for physics, conditional on A*AA in Maths, Further Maths and Physics in any combination. I also do French but this is not included in the offer.
Will I be able to drop French now? I think the huge workload of it will impact my other subjects and I hate the lessons so dropping it would be a huge relief.
Any thoughts? Cheers in advance.

You need to check with the uni, and they can change or withdraw your offer.

Also talk to your Head of Year or whoever's in charge of your 6th Form.

It's true that the extra workload could potentially affect your other grades. My offer was A*AA in the same subjects as you (though I did Chemistry instead of French) and I got A*AAB when doing 4 A2's and an AS in Year 13. Have a think about whether French would be a useful A-level to have in the future though.

I think the deadline for being entered for your exams might be in March, so I'd have guessed that you were okay to drop out but your school might be fussy about this. Best to check with them.
