NCL: Chem. Engineering W/ Foundation Year Ques.

Hello,

As I don't have a Maths A Level and I wish to do engineering, I was considering doing a Foundation Year before the course. I am determined to put all the work in etc.

However, on the NCL Uni Website for Chemical Engineering W/Foundation Year (for people without a specific A level etc.), it says the requirements are AAA-AAB, but doesn't specify subjects:
http://www.ncl.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/h816/entryrequirements/

But on the Which website:

http://university.which.co.uk/newcastle-university-n21/chemical-engineering-5-years-9000-h816

The statistics show that 100% of entries had a mathematics A Level. I am confused. Does that include people with the foundation year??

This is quite late but I applied for mechanical engineering with the foundation year and I didn't study maths at A Level, I got an offer though
