Dissertation question help!☹

I am one week away from submitting a proposal form and I suddenly had a new idea for my dissertation! Unfortunately my advisor isn't as helpful as nice as she is! I don't think I can change either.

I was thinking to do something about how teachers promote critical thinking and whether they do it enough in schools (looking to see if the national curriculum puts emphasis on this or not). I want to relate his to ideological state apparatus mainly perhaps the media, if children learn to thinking critically then they will not take the information provided by the media at face value, rather unpick it and take the facts away from the bias.

I would interview teachers and give questionnaires to students.

How do I word it ?? Please help ☹ I am literally so lost and forever over thinking!
